Thanks Brad for hosting the roundtable. It is nice to see who's who and see what folks are working on. I look forward to the next one. BTW- I was impressed with how clean the one you are working on is. That must be the nicest uke I've ever seen. Your headstock logo is very cool. Your work seems like someone who has been building longer than you have. Keep up the good work! |

Brad, thanks for sure including sending me a last minute invite! Sorry I didn't make it this time but I had some work that had to be done before a long line of thunderstorms arrived. I was able to get the work done before 2PM although, as so often happens in east TN, the rain pretty much devolved into scattered showers. Oh well. Hopefully won't have any work scheduled next time. |

Thanks to Brad and to the rest of you for attending. I enjoyed meeting some of the folks who have been in the online discussions over the years. |

Thanks Brad, I enjoyed it as well. I am more terrible with faces than I am with names though. I once talked with a guy in Menards for a bit. My wife asked who it was. I said. " I think that it's John " " You don't know what your boss looks like after 8 years? " "Well he might have some sort of moustache thing, and sometimes his hair is different. I usually see him with a uniform on, and maybe a hard hat and glasses. It sounded sort of like him, but I always have earplugs in. He WAS a little shorter than me." Details must not be my thing. |

I just finished watching the recording of the roundtable and it was great. Thanks, Brad for organizing it. Chances are pretty good I won't be in the middle of a power outage around here next time so I hope to join in on the second roundtable. |

Could not wait to watch the video, so I got to do it yesterday late at night. Very nice to finally get to finally get to see some of you guys, some being very active members. I was surprised to learn that many participants were advanced hobbyists or amateur luthiers, most doing this without a thought for commercial reasons, albeit with an intense and in most cases lifelong passion for the instrument itself. I can deeply relate to that, thanks to all for sharing this. I was also surprised that all participants were builders, which is OK with as that's what real-life full-fledged luthiers do, right? I'm a repair shop owner, which is quite another and very different side of the trade, involving a very different set of skills as you know. This got me thinking about how we can get those members away from their benches. Maybe thematic roundtables? I know Brad has mentioned it, and from what I could see yesterday I believe it might be a good idea. Again, thanks to all members that took part, it was fascinating and uplifting to "meet" all of you. Can't wait for the next meeting, which I sure hope to be attending. And again (again), thanks Brad for doing this. |

Hi Brad, Thank you for posting a link to the video on the forum. Although not a participant, it was nice to see and hear those who did. I look forward to seeing future zoom meetings you may have. |
