Just discovered this stuff. I am a late bloomer. :). Looks just like what K&K uses to attach the transducers to the insertion jig.

One thing I have found it useful for is attaching cleats to magnets for crack repair. It tends to stay on the magnet rather than the cleat when removed. Less cleanup especially in hard to reach spots.

Best thing for cleaning iron particles off of magnets, too. Stick it on, pull it off, fold it over, repeat. A small lump can hold quite a lot. Kind of interesting when the putty becomes attracted to the magnet :)

Sounds like a great solution for the piece of masking tape wanting to stay on the cleat magnet problem, thanks Terry!

Great idea. I've been using this for quite some time, sure beats the tape trick.

Super useful stuff. I have enough excess from all the K&Ks I install to last me a lifetime!

Also good if you want to try the effect of adding a little weight someplace, say, when hunting 'wolf' notes. It won't leave oil behind in the wood the way modeling clay does. Note that this stuff is removable for a while, of you leave it in place to long it can be hard to get up, and may leave some adhesive behind in the wood (I haven't tested that).
