This just in from a high tech guitar lab. When you just can't find a splinter of wood laying around in your shop.

And they come in a variety of gauges so you can fine tune the fit to perfection!

Some people will cut corners and only use 2 strands of wire, but 3 are necessary for a perfect fit.

In my shop I use nothing but phosphor bronze for warm, punchy tone. Nickel-wound is the mark of the amateur

Only use liquid hide glue to glue them in too, all others don't sound as good....

Interesting. I once found strings just like these under the saddle of a Takamine that was bought new. The owner sweared I was the first tech he ever took it to, so it must have been factory…
