It’s been a few years since I last attended and I was hoping to do so this year but it turns out I will be traveling. Congratulations (to you and the other OLF members) for being selected to present. That is fantastic. I noted many new names whose work I have never seen before and was looking forward to attending. Such is life. George :-) |

Hey Marcus. This will be my first time exhibiting at La Conner too. I'll be looking forward to meeting you and seeing your instruments. I'll be bringing two guitars, an octave mandolin, and a mandocello. |

My beautiful bride was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2023…with this news I decided to stop building for at least a year and focus on her exclusively (she’s doing great). I do plan on attending the show and look forward to playing some great guitars! Best, M |

Finally getting around to posting a clip from a video a friend shot of Mark Hanson performing on one of the guitars that I exhibited at the La Conner Guitar Festival a couple weeks ago. The show was a lot of fun. I got to meet many other builders all of whom were great people, including our very own Marcus Bailie whose guitars just as gorgeous in person as in the photos he has posted here. The attendees were fun to talk with and many of them were really good players and it was a blast to hear my instruments played by them. I sometimes find out my instruments can do things I didn't know they could do.
