At heel and tail block. Anybody know? Modern J45. For tail I see variations between 4 5/8, 4 3/4, 4 7/8, But mostly 4 5/8

My early 70's J45 measures 4 at the heel and 4 7/8 at the tail.

Here's some measurements from a '49 J-45. Neck block was 3 3/4"H x 3 1/4"W x 1 5/16"D, Tail block 4 5/8"H x 3 1/4"W x 3/4"D. Grain direction same as the sides. Here's a sheet of measurements I did in case someone might find it useful.

My 70's J-45 is about the same but 4 15/16 at the tail.

OK, thanks, The tail seems somewhat consistent through time. I think I saw some variation in the heel block 3.5-4". Think I'll go with close to 4"
