Sad to hear of his passing. A good man and he will be missed. He was always helpful and more than fair to deal with.

Heartbroken here Bob will be missed.

He was one of the most encouraging sorts for my own guitar building and I sure appreciated him.

Bob came to Ann Arbor when we hosted the Black Elks Lodge gathering which attracted over 45 OLFers.

I'll miss Bob, his colorful language, his staunch support for what he believed in and his huge heart that he shared with us all.

RIP Zootman

John, thank you so much for your post. (Tony Karol pointed me to your Facebook post this morning).

For me it is hard to name a kinder and funnier person than Uncle Bob. He was one the earliest supporters of the OLF and supplied many of us with quality tonewood always at a very reasonable price. I used to make a trip from Toronto to Buffalo a couple times a year to visit and of course always ended up leaving with tonewood that I couldn't resist.

I will keep an eye out for an obituary. If any of you find one, please post it.

My heart goes out to Rosie and his lovely family. The world was a far better place with Bob in it. I am very sad.

RIP Zootman

Very nice post Hesh!

Hi everyone. Thanks for the kind words. He passed peacelfully with all of us with him at hospice. Here is the obituary: https://www.lombardofuneralhome.com/tri ... ert-Cefalu?
As you may have heard I have been downsizing RC Tonewoods for a few months but plan on keeping my fathers legacy alive for as long as I can. Just the other day, he asked if I had gotten any nice wood. We talked about how I sourced more "Bacon" Padauk and he remembered getting it years ago. Special thanks to John Hall and Mike Franks who always kept in touch. He loved woodworking and guitars and got me hooked a little. I was just thinking how much I know about tools and wood now! All from working with my father for years. He also taught me many useful skills as far as DYI goes, I feel he was proud of me whenever I made or remodeled something at my house. He alaways thought we could "do it", why pay somebody! He also thought everything would be quick to do and almost never was! Take care everyone and try and spend time with family. I will always be grateful I saw him almost everyday for years.

Living in Buffalo, I was fortunate to have visited with Bob a few times while stopping in at RC Tonewoods for supplies or just to browse. He had stopped coming in of late and his son Pete continued to operate the business. As they scaled the work in their shop, I had the opportunity to purchase much of Bob’s building tools which I will treasure. He will be truly missed. May his memory be a blessing.

I loved that man. He was one of the very first OLFer's, and always had so much great stuff to contribute.
Rest in Peace, dear friend.
