I like that! Is the neck much heavier than Mahogany?

Lovely!
Actually I've been trying different, denser, woods for necks - Padauk, Hard maple, Wenge, and seem to notice some improvement in the sound (projection/sustain?)
As I'm doing heavier builds anyway (double sides at 2.6 - 3mm with epoxy) so balance doesn't seem a problem and any improvement could be down to just weight (as in Gore's Book where he uses weighed sides)

Yes, it is heavier than Mahogany,I started using really light weight truss rods from Allied Lutherie and the Schaller mini tuners are pretty ligt so it is not neck heavy.

It is cut on a CNC machine (not a laser) by Tom Ellis of Precision Pearl in Texas-Great Company to deal with.
