I am building a couple of acoustics for my daughters. One option is a set of flamed Movingui that I believe I bought at an OLF auction 15 or so years ago. Searching the forum it seems like it bends like EIR and is of a similar hardness. It does seem to be screaming to be turned into a GLO at this point. ![]() |

The wood-database says: Responds moderately well to steam bending But EIR is much harder (10,440 vs. 5,680 Newtons Janka hardness), and much heavier (855 vs. 720 kg/m3). Link Movingui Greg |

It’s difficult to bend and wants to facet in the figuring. I suggest using Supersoft liberally and thinning to .070” or less for best results. EIR bends MUCH easier without risk of fracturing like Movingui has a propensity to do. |

You could do double sides and bend much thinner. |
