Anybody used it for finishing repair on nitro? Thanks Rob

I used it for a headstock veneer. It worked and looked just like they advertised. The nozzle on the can sprayed an amazingly clean, even and leveled coat. I sprayed 10 coats about every 10 minutes. I level sanded and buffed it a few days latter.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

We use it on nitro repairs (and others) and it works great. Initially I thought it was BS and hype but the stuff is an excellent product. I was wrong, r-o-n-g.

The non foaming accelerator is the real star of the of the gluboost show for us. You can get the same affect as using the non-fioaming accelerator by not using accelerator at all and waiting a bit. Blowing on standard CA won't foam it either and will speed up curing.

But we like Gluboost and really like it for finish touch-up for head stock breaks and sometimes loose binding both of which are weekly occurrences in our shop.

Helps make invisible repairs fast and easy and predictable.
