One of my students and I got some new zoot cut up this morning - about 60 sets worth of flamed honduran - this is my half. I did say it was MINE right !!!! Remember, its mine, all mine. Eat your heart out Zootster .... I'm catching up. Oh, and the alarm system is ON.

hey Dave .. I think you missed the part about "its all mine" - kidding. Not at this time unfortunately, my mahogany stock is bin is low as can be, and I cant say when if ever we will see stuff like this again. As I was joking at the OLF gathering at Bob's - most folks worry whether they will have enough money to retire - I worry if I will have enough wood !!!

Once its cut into sets, I can ask my bud - he may want to. Unless, can you resaw yourself? - then you could just get a couple pieces, one for backs, one for sides. This is all 1 inch, well quartered. I will ask him.

I LOVE flamed mahogany...my second guitar was a lightly flamed Honduran Mahogany dread with a cedar top, florentine cutaway. Sounded terrific, an the mahpgany is beautiful wood for shure. I've actually got a few sets going up for sale soon....

Brian Hawkins is going to be cutting some flamed/quilted Honduran for me this weekend. Not the tight fiddleback flame your sets show, but I still think the end result will be pretty striking!

Dang, I thought if I was the first one to ask.....

No problem Tony, the Don told me he was going to have some sets available soon. It's not that I really need any, it's just that I really need some.

Sixty sets? As in enough for sixty guitar bodies?

Holy flamed mahogany cow!
