I think I was on that flight or one similar.   On approach we were rock and rolling in the cross wind then spanked the runway hard and bounced a bunch. The pilot was a real card...before the collective gasp of the passengers turned into screams ... the pilot said in a clear calm voice.."We're here"! Plane have erupted in laughter. (guess you had to be there)

I was on a flight to a mining camp, way up North at the tip of our Province, it was a place that was really high in altitude, landing was gonna be on ice of course and the clouds were high and low, we had to circle around for the clouds to open up and rush-land down, a few of the diamond drillers got sick, not a pretty sight when you see a 6 feet tall guy, 230 pounds of muscle get sick like that, it made me think about quiting my job the whole 35 days i was up there.... and i did!
