Just wondering if any extra joint reinforcement is necessary when adding
wings to the lower bout of a top, such as a reinforcement strip. I know
that good glue joints are stronger that the wood itself, so maybe not.
Just thought I'd ask.

I suspect if you "shoot and candle" a nice tight joint, the glue would be enough. especially if that aria of the top is not seeing much stress anyway.
That's just a guess.
