Hesh,
That sure does look cool. You didn't mention cost but I would assume the software is much less than buying a tuner...Also, as far as accuracy goes...and this has been mentioned before ad-nausium, but I'll say it again...the digital strobes are much more accurate than the needle tuners BUT, NOT more accurate than the REAL strobes. It has to do with creating the tuning parameters of the digital strobe vs. using the human eye ( the real strobe reading). I know Petersen rates the tuners very accurate....001 of a semi-tone? I don't know where/what catagory the software falls into. I really like Petersen products...the company has been a pleasure to do business with.

Hi Hesh,
I used the same Korg Dt-1 for over a decade for hundreds and hundreds of gigs, sessions, rehersals etc....
It finally bit the dust when in my stoned out jam band days in the early 90's I attemted to fit the guts into a cassette case to fit in a pedal board and destroyed it. This was also the same time I cut the 9v battery terminals out of all my pedals to reduce weight There has never been a stupider thing. Thankfully I stopped doing drugs years ago. As for the Peterson, I love it and often wish I still did drugs when I look at the display
Evan

I wonder if that softare is compatible with Windows Mobile ...it would be cool to get that on a PDA for super portability.

Hesh...I loved the Korg DT-1. It was may favorite turner. One day it stopped working and when I went to get a new one they stopped making that model.

Hesh,

Is this capable of measuring tap tones like their strobe tuners? My guess is "no", but it's worth asking.

Thanks,

Bob K

So how does this thing work? Do you use the mic on your computer?

I don't even bother trying to intonate my guitars at the moment 'cause I've got such a lousy tuner there's not much point. I've had my eye on Peterson's kit for a while but our sofa isn't very comfortable esecially for an extended stay.

If it does use the computer's mic (and I can't see how it could be otherwise), doesn't that mean that the accuracy is totally dependant on the quality of your microphone and sound card?
