My #4 is being built for a friend - a rosewood and and carpathian dread. We want to stain the neck. I've been pore filling with Z-poxy and am wondering if there are any issues with laying epoxy on over analine dye. What should I be aware of when doing this? OR, should I take another approach?

Z-poxy over water-based or alcohol-based analine dye should be fine, as long as the solvent in the dye has evaporated completely after the staining step. Not advisable over oil-based. Best practice is to test for yourself.burbank39046.5586458333

Cool - Thanks Hesh! I have been meaning to get some of these stains. All I have right now is analine powder. Did some tests today with both water and alcohol, and both seemed to work fine...
