I am looking for a good quality 3-on-plate tuner set for a slot head. I have been using tuners made by or for the National Resophonic company but they are not working so well. I want a plain steel tuner with a white plastic butterbean knob instead of the bronze engraved look of the Waverly's or I would just use them. I have heard that there is a manufacturer in Italy but have not been able to track them down. Thanks in advance for your help!!!John How39072.8865393519

I have yet to see a 3-on-a-plate Gotoh. That would be sweet if they did. Does anyone have a source or a pic of that?

John,

Schaller makes a 3-on-a-plate. Even have white plastic buttons.
I've used them a couple of times, and when purchased, they were billed as reso tuners. Just flipped 'em over and they were great.

If memory serves, I got those from ILS in Tulsa.

But then, memory isn't what it used to be, either.

I've used Alessi tuners, and they're first rate. LMI doesn't appear to carry his steel string tuners, but you can contact him directly through his website. He will install pretty much any sort or shape of button you want.

Here's the only pic of (6-string) ss tuners he has on his website:

Best,

Michael

Hey John,

I am selling Gotoh stuff now as well. They have a TON of options. They have lots of different, 3 on a plate sets that are silver rather than bronze, some engraved some with a simple design cut in them. If you are interested just PM me and I will scan some pics from the catelogue I have and if there is something you like I will track down a price.

Shane

John...Have Shane look at item numbers:

40P510C
40P510P
35P510C
35P510P

These are steel string shaft 3 on a plate Gotohs, from a catalog several years old.
I have some 35P1800 in the shop if you want to touch/see them. They are a 1:14 ratio gearing.Hank Mauel39073.4993981481
