Okay, I am going to try the Z-poxy Finishing resin. I am just wondering if I should order some Z-poxy 5 minute epoxy at the same time. I have used the Smith All-wood epoxy and find it very viscous. I am looking for an epoxy to glue the fingerboard on with.

I'm in the same situation. I'm thinking that the 5 min stuff may go off a little too quick for glueing a fretboard. I have some zpoxy 30 min , which I am testing. It is designed to have some flex when cured. It doesn't seem to be as hard as others but it's bond maybe as good .Just seems a little too soft once cured. It may harden up further as it's only been 24 hours.
I would prefer an epoxy that cures faster than 24 hours, as this can lead to a starved join when left clamped . Most epoxy makers don't advise clamping .

My test piece of 30 min. Zpoxy seems to have hardened up a good deal.
I also made a mix with a little more hardner added ,which made it softer .,,,,,go figure.
A mix with a little more resin made it nearly as firm as a 50/50 mix , again go figure.
A mix of 50/50 with alcohol added is still fairly firm ,but not really hard (as yet )
I think thirty minutes is a very handy cure time .

     I'm sold.

On Pacer's website, they don't list wood as one of the things their 30 minute epoxy is ideal for. "Boat hulls" is the closest they come, which could be just about anything, I guess. The 5 minute variety they tout as ideal for furniture and list wood as one of the preferred usages. I have been gluing fingerboards with HHG, so 5 minutes will seem like an eternity in comparison.
