My John Mayes DVD set made it today, very short wait period and I am ready to jump in and let the learnin' begin. Also, I have found a supplier for UV pore filler and clearcoat so I plan to order some and do some test finishing on some tonewoods to get an idea of the workability of the UV stuff. I am most interested in getting the "wet look" and durability like Taylor guitars have, while keeping the mils to a minimum and most of all, shortening the time to complete a finish. Got any scrap or junk tonewoods laying around?
