There hasn't been a post on this for a while so I thought I would throw it back up.

Who plans on going? Rick do you have a count? Any info on hotels?

If anyone needs a lift from Vancouver BC I have lots of room.

Got my hall pass yesterday. I'll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It's on my calendar, in permanent marker, highlighted, with arrows pointing to it. S'pose I'll be there!

Wish I could, but too much travel for the day job lately so I need to stick around home and get some things done. I sure this becomes an annual event because I would really love to attend in the future.

YES -- It's happening! I'm going out later today to check on the local
motels but the schedule is coming together.

We'll have a visit and talk by Brent McElroy, a visit to Dusty Strings and a
session with John Saba and David Haxton, Dusty's ace repair techs. A visit
to Gurian's incredible shop is planned (bring money -- Michael has some
lovely wood as well as bridge pins, purflings, bindings, etc.) and there will
be visits from other repair folks and builders. I'm working on Rob Girdis
to come by on Sunday; may be able to get Steve Anderson out of his shop
for the archtop lovers.

Friday evening, I'll hold forth on whatever building questions and
techniques are of interest; Saturday afternoon, after the Dusty Strings
visit, Cat will demo set ups and fretwork. Hers are among the best in the
business. David Doucet, formerly of Matt Umanov's shop in NYC and now
in business for himself in Bellingham, will stop by with a demo and
discussion of finish touch-ups and color matching (useful for ALL of us!).

If there's interest, we may be able to arrange a visit to Dusty's factory,
where they make the harps and hammer dulcimers.

Saturday night party, of course. Winding down on Sunday afternoon.

At this point, it looks like around a dozen folks will be here but there's
room for more!

Cheers--
Rick

Well, I don't have the dates marked on my calendar and would like to attend. Which weekend is it happening? Here's my vote for a visit to the Dusty Strings factory.

Thanks

Well from the last post that Rick put out I believe it is the 18, 19 and 20th of May. To my knowledge nothing has changed.

I'm getting excited Rick, it sounds like you have got quite a whirlwind weekend going! I went to Dusty Strings for the first time about a month ago and really liked it. I played one of David Haxton's guitars and it sounded really quite amazing. He is a really nice person and a great guitar builder too! This should be a good time and thanks again for getting all this going!!
