I really need some nice figured Koa chunks to make into necks. Anybody have any or know where I can get some?

TIA

John

John, I would think that Volcano Guitar Works, one of the sponsors, would be the first port of call.

John, this ebay vendor sometimes has large pieces of koa.

I've dealt with them and no problems. They also sometimes have large nice pieces of Alaska yellow cedar.

Bro, I've gotten some neck stock from Doug @ Volcano before, and also from Bruce Creps at Noteable Woods.
Either source would have great stuff.

it looks very similar and costs about 1/2 or so as much whilst having very similar tonal characteristics.

give tim at australian tonewoods, another sponsor, a hoy and see what he could do for you.
