Does anyone know why that when I open a new window on my computer the contents are not centered in the window?  How can I fix it?  If you don't understand the question I can elaborate a little.

Tommy,

Try sitting a little to the left

Sorry mate, could not resist and can't realy help with your XP question other than to suggest you Google that question and see what comes up. You will be surprised with whats out there.

Cheers

I don't know your level of PC comprehension Tommy, but have you tried maximising each window? There is 3 symbols in the top right of each window, the centre symbol, which looks like 1 square stacked over the other re-sizes, try clicking it.

Cheers

Kim

No No you silly gooses .  Let's say I open a brand new IE window using the icon on my desktop.  My homepage is Yahoo.  Well its like the bottom right corner is what is centered in the window, so I have to use the scroll bars to make it so the upper left portion ( the area where you start to read a page...except in arabic.... or chinese) is where I can see it.  Make any more sense?  You did crack me up Kim!  I'm sure you were looking very deadpan!  So thats interesting.  I just realized that it's only IE that this happens with.  Not any other files or anything.

Take a look at the <view> on the bar, go to the encoding field, and see if the think is set for left to right  view.  Also check to see if some strange encoding is being used.  Another thing to do is go to  <Tools> Internet options, and reset the settings to the default settings and see if that solves the problem.  These are the only things I can think of.

No that still didn't do it Hesh.  It's no big deal, just one of those quirky computer things that drive me nuts.  It's usually the small things in life that drive me nuts.  Thanks for your guys help.

Try checking the settings on your monitor.

Sounds like something in the registry is hosed. Messing with that can get pretty dicey, though.

You could just switch to Firefox. It's more compliant to web standards.
