I'm going to look at a locally used Pro II or at least I think it is. Is there anything special I should check. The guy wants $250 so I have room for some new parts if needed. It's a 24" open end drum sander and he says it's six years old, I'm hoping it in good enough shape to bring home tomorrow.

Thanks

Peter

Check to insure the drum is still round, table is flat and the feed is working. The price is unbelievably low. I all is well do not hesitate to load it up and get out of the state as fast as you can because you will then be guilty of grand theft

Well you all know the saying.......If it sounds too good to be true.......

I went to check it out and it is a Performax Pro II, but the kind that sits on a radial arm saw. I ran some boards and checked it out and came home with it. It is big and heavy, but I have the space. It will buy me some time to decide whether or not I'll need some more. It has a conveyor belt power feed and it is seems powerful enough, it's wired for 220 and hums right along. He threw in some belts and the radial arm part and I got it for $225. I spent almost that much on a belt sander.

I'll let you all know if this was a mistake, I don't think so, but you never know.
