[QUOTE=Hesh1956] Pat maybe that should be the next tutorial......
OK this thread has been running so long that I have new stuff on my bench now.....
I had finished this top and while thicknessing it and leveling the rosette and a nasty pitch pocket developed on the front side. I manually sanded most of it out but have no more room to sand it any thinner in this spot. So I put it away for a month and thought about what to do.....
Since this is my first BRW guitar and taking into account that I am wrapped to tight..... I am going to replace the top.....
Also Ken recently gave me the idea of putting it away for a "lefty" that I might build some day and cover it up with a pick guard.
And then there is The Don, and much of this is YOUR fault Don...

You asked me if I was going to use Adi on this guitar since it is BRW. And prior to the pitch pocket I was not going to use Adi. But your remark and tradition kept echoing in my mind for a month so the replacement top is Adi.

How thin is "thin"?
I wouldn't hesitate to use that. And even then is it in a spot where a pick guard would cover it?
