It appears that my original post about having problems with my performax drum sander has been swept off to the archives, but I wanted to say THANK YOU for the help on diagnosing this problem and finding a solution. I picked up a box of pre-cut 80 grit paper at woodcraft while I was in Nashville and installed it when I got home today. It works like a dream with no loading whatsoever. It is a more rough finish than I am used to, but this is just rough surfacing back and sides sets anyway and they will get much more sanding before they become a guitar, so it is no problem. I was also able to run the wood through the sander much faster than I had been doing, so it sped up the process. I also wrapped the paper the correct direction this time

Looks like my problems are solved!
