Got my wood from Don, and just had to write here and say what a pleasant experience it was, how much I like the wood, how nice it was to deal with Don, and how fast the package came.

I had a really sizeable haul, enough to cause many moons of couch sleeping, but I'm actually in investment mode so it was OK (I think I've managed to convince SO that its OK to put away the wood that I'm going to build with as a retirement job now, while it costs only a fortune and not the moon.)

Anyway, I got 4 sets of Cocobola, 2 of Honduran Rosewood, and 1 of Movingui (I'm a sucker for novelties. This stuff has pink sapwood and yellow heartwood - very outre.) I tried to get the kids to take a good pic of me doing the ritz, but they didn't come out well

Thanks Don! Beautiful stuff.

Jim

Well, I'll throw in my two cents and say that Don went way above the call on my wood too. Like you Jim, I got 7 sets total, and the stuff is just gorgeous.

Prior to this sale I was mahogaless...so I've been adding mahogany to my stash at the moment. I got 5 various sets of that (two mottled, one flame, two ribbon), and 2 of the Honduran Rosewood (with sap). Let me tell you that mottled mahogany is spectacular. I wiped it with naptha and man it pops. It's going to be amazing under finish.

HERE'S how special the mottled mahogany is: not only did the wife see the wood, as I type this she's IN MY SHOP digging through the binding box trying to figure out what will match well with it. How's that for beautiful wood?

As always, thanks greatly Don!
