Kudos to both you guys! Great work.
Mario, as much as I like your approach, what really
grabs my eye is that golden purfling.
At least that how it looks down here in Texas.
Particularly the way the light is making it glow in the
first photo. What is that pretty stuff?

It's maple and sapele, in a sort of 'rope' pattern, I guess. Just something I make up once in a while. The gold effect, I think, are the overhead lights reflecting on the uneven surface(I shot the first coats of finish on this guy this afternoon, so it hasn't been leveled, much less buffed, yet <g>), but it may be the maple shimmering, as it does do that.

Thanks for the good words, but I'd have never thought of it on my own; Lance and Mitsuhiro get the credit for this very sleekest of armrests.
