Yup. Not sure of grocery stores, but.. The auto dept. at Walmart also. The only time I messed up was when I messed up the mix. I now use a great little digital scale no matter the product.

Back in the day, I had catastrophic failure with good old "5 Minute Epoxy". It also swells weirdly and creeps badly when "cured".   Use a good boat builder's epoxy like Smith and Co., WEST, etc. Boats take a hell of a lot more punishment than guitars, and those boat builders have peoples' lives riding on good results. There is a wider variety in epoxy glues than you can possibly believe. Get the right stuff.

Using consumer grade 5 Minute Epoxy is kind of like using flour and water instead of hot hide glue...

I have been using the loctite brand epoxies. I use their crazy glues too. I have had good results. They have a 60 minute epoxy too if you need extra extra time gling up.

I'd argue with myself, too, Rick, but dang if I haven't had any issues to date.

So should I  switch from hide glue for the fb?  I've always liked it because of it's lack of creep when setting it in place   (I've even found that locating pins are not that necessary as the board does not want to move with hide glue...).  Sounds like I better consider West or a product like it.  Never had a back-bow problem with hide glue but I'd rather not have to address one....
