Hi
What do all of you use to fill small nicks/dings/gaps etc prior to finishing.
Do you use superglue, and if you do, do you use the thin stuff or something
thicker. Also, do you use some kind of vinyl sealer etc prior to the
superglue to protect staining the top?

Andy

I swell small dings with water and re-prep sand tops and softer hard woods. I avoid at all cost major dings in tops If I have a ding that will not swell I use either med CA or Zpoxy, just proud of level. scrape level with burnished razor blade after cure and light sand. I use 2# wax free shellac sanding sealer prior to finish application.
