Bruce for sealing use a blonde dewaxed shellac. I also have a can of zinnser stting in a cabinet too. It is actually good stuff. You always want to use the dewaxed stuff for sealing. less problems with various overcoats then a waxed. And the blonde adds very little or no color to the finish. you can cut a standard shellac mix in half with alcohol for a sealer coat.
