That's the guy, Richard Johnston and Jim Washburn wrote this Martin Guitar book. By the way, this is a $40 book and Amazon.com has a good used one for $22 right now. Saw it when I was stealing the above pic, ahem, borrowing the above pic. You win JH.

Okay, then, how about this shadowy figure in the luthiery world? Can you ID this guy?

Great Job, now why were they smiling? (They know where the TACQUERIA is on the south side of town) (On the right just past the lumber yard)

I bet you've used some of this guy's work, ID him.

You mean the one that has burritos the size of your leg for $4? Yeah that's the one. (The neat thing about Hldsbrg is that there are no fewer that 5 just like it if you can find them)
The last pic didn't load and it won't cut/paste either.

That's it Paul. I took home a doggie bag from the burrito platter, great food and pricing. Mexican beer too if you want it.

Now, I'm having trouble editing so we'll try one more time with ID'ing the guy in this picture. Try taking out the space in the word med ium above and see if that works.

Chris's last name is Herrod. Brian Weinberg is usually they guy you get when you call Allied. Also, check Page two of the Rogue's Gallery. What a fun trip.

Apology: Brian and Todd, I have to apologize for not buying a stick of wood that day. I arm-wrestled Chris over at LMI and he won all my money, my pockets were empty and my credit card maxed..... grin. My last four bucks bought a burrito.

Okay, we'll try this again, who is this guy?

This is Jorge, and he was sanding a ton of beautiful fingerboards on a huge wide belt. The Logo, well it's LMI's.

I didn't meed Cameron, where would I find that guy? There were a couple of folks at Allied I didn't meet on my stroll through with Todd. As I remember they were sorting and sanding a huge Indian Rosewood inventory that day.

One last pic and I'm done: Only the locals would probably know these guys, part of the sales force at Gryphon. R to L: Kenny Corso, Me, and Paul Jacobs
The guitar, oh, that's my hero's guitar Charlie Hoffman, it's a Sitka and Cocobolo Jumbo and incredibly beautiful and wonderful sounding.

Cocobolo Rules but it may kill you in the process!
