Michael - What do you use for pore filling? I've used Z-Poxy on my first two, but was thinking that if I want to have an easily repairable finish, I should use shellac and something else.

Thanks!

Bruce,

Try Behlen's water based pore filler. I use the darkest color I can find and then dye it black.

ANSTAPF (ain't no such thing as a perfect finish). I stole that from the late great SciFi writer Robert Heinlein's quote "ANSTAFL", (ain't no such thing as a free lunch"). Repairs are even harder. All finishes have their drawbacks as far as repairablity and none are easy, I think pore filling is the least of your worries.
