Bob...Glad to know you got a clean bill of health. And as your friend, I just can't lower myself to make a crass innuendo about the procedure

The Tuesday before I left for Healdsburg I started getting cramping pains in my stomach. I have had Crohn's problems for years so I hoped for the best and jumped on the plane.
Long story short - I had to rush back to Seattle for meds.
*IF* I had not put off my scope last month I would have known that I needed to start treatment earlier and saved myself a lot of pain, money and aggravation.
If you speak 'boomer' your doctor will suggest a scope every 2-3 years - do it! The biggest hassle is that they use hypnotics so you barely remember the procedure - this means you can't go by yourself - they don't want you driving home alone.
If you already have a plumbing problem - take it from me - the one you miss could cause major regrets.
End of sermon.

John, "Innuendo" is Italian for colonoscopy. Of course, Bob, as a good Siciliano already knows that!

JJ your right on. Of course I knew what you meant.
Speaking of Italian does anyone know how to say "I'm broke" in Italian? "mifunsalo"

I get it now JJ. And for the record, I refuse to make Bob the butt of any more jokes, innuendoes or otherwise. However, Bob, if you did take pictures, I thought we could send them to Craig to see what he could do in pearl. Perhaps inlay something around the endpin.

Hey Bob
Glad to hear you are A_OK. I've been there and done that too and didn't much like it. But it is VERY important, and I'm glad to see that you took care of it. There is nothing in life that stops forward momentum like an illness that comes out of the blue. I've been there and it's like hitting a wall at full speed. Everything just stops.
But with preventive maintenance, we can stay ahead of the game and "keep on truckin" as we used to say way back when.
Bought some Bubinga from ya today, so check your mail when you are able to get back to work.
Take it easy!

Hey Goomps,
Glad to hear you are o.k.! I had the test done a few years ago and they found an chisel I hadn't seen in years. Moral of the story...don't leave your tools on your seat! Hey as far as getting banned for life from the site...are you kidding?...you are THE ONE GUY that has immunity from such. This place has literally been "built" on your wood ( now that sounds perverted).
Stay well my friend...have a ganolli or some tira misu with a nice cappachino and relax. Stress is what kills us all. So take it easy my friend!

As for the prior day clean out...not fun...but...I was having stomach/intestinal problems and the clean out actually seemed to cure/improve that. So there may be a hidden benefit to some.

Be WELL!Dave-SKG38603.4796759259

Bob,
So glad to hear all is good with your health! I had this done last year at 44 years old due the fact that my dad had prostate cancer that went away, then went into his bones a few years later. He passed away in Jan. from the complications, etc. If anyone here has not had this done, please do it for yourselves and your loved ones. You can also start out with a simple blood test called a PSP. It's gives an indicator over time and can tell a doctor some blood levels that are characteristict of prostate trouble. I opted for the "sleepie" method and never knew what "hit" me! The worst was the cleanout the day before as npalen said! YUCK! That's the worst of it! Really glad all is well....and by the way I did see the great post of your family during Labor Day. That's what it's all about isn't it? Beautiful family...your a lucky man all around. (and I guess your doc got lucky too didn't he? )
Mark

My thought after waking up after the procedure was "wow, I haven't slept that well in years".

Nelson,
How true! I thought the same thing! I guess it's a payback for going through the day before!

Bob,
It's healed nicely, thank you for asking. The scar is a good reminder to be careful and focus.
