I just got through filming the first of the three or four new DVD's to soon release. This one was voicing part 1. IT covered brace making, placement, varations, jigs, layout, materials. Next up tomorrow. Voicing Part 2 Gluing braces, carving and tapping, clean up and gluing to the rim. Then hopefully Monday I'll do binding prep, cutting ledges and installing binding. Then it'll be back to "normal" work for at least a month or two before I can finish off the woodworking aspect which will cover fretboards, inlay, necks, neck sets, bridge making, and such. But hey I can't lay them all on ya at one time. Gotta spread out the dough.

These are going to be very cool I think. I've gotten a little more professional. (it is ME after all) The DVD's will ship in actual DVD cases this time, and the sound will be much much better (new external shotgun mic), as well as the editing (I bought Final Cut Express 2 from apple, and it is vastly better than what I was using {iMovie which is still a great easy to use editor}) This picture wuality will be better too as I bought a new camera.

I'll get some clips and pre-order info up within a week and make a post and send out e-mails to all who have bought them before. Also I'll hold another drawing here for a free set like last time so if you didn't win last time then maybe this time is your time!!

John,
I thought the title of the thread "First of the new DVD’s "in the can"." meant that you screwed up on them and had to throw them in the trash can! Whew, glad it going okay, I'm looking forward to seeing these. Will these also have neck carving? Hey, I got your interview cd yesterday, and I laughed all the way to work this morning. Way to go on this. Sounds like you had a great time doing this. Can't wait for the cd and dvd's!

John this is great. Will you send out parts 1 and 2 and then later 3&4, or all same time. I for one wouldn't mind having the first two. Hey bud, don't get to professional. You do great and easy to follow and fun too.

Thanks!

These ones will not have neck carving but they will come in time. I hope to have this guitar done, and all the DVD's with it before healdsburg so that may help timewise.

I'll prolly just shipp all of them at the same time as once I start video-ing and editing I'd rather just do it all at once.
