I'm looking for a better way to glue side purflings to the binding than Titebond. I'm currently using Titebond II for it's resistance to separation in bending, but I'm considering either using CA or installing them separately from the binding. What's everyone else doing?

I install the side purfs seperately so I can miter them around the end graft first.

On the fingerboard and headstock I glue them up before I install them.

I make up the bindings with perfling attached. Then they are one unit when bending. It's a lot easier than trying to glue that narrow edge to the binding. I also miter to follow the perfling on either side of the endgraft. Just requires a bit of cleanup work with a good sharp chisel.

   Binding a guitar is a trickie job. I dry fit all my binding first. This will set the entire guitar up and I can use masking tape.
   With all the miters cut and established I then start at one spot and use duco cement. I only will use tite bond on wood binding. The so called trick of acetone and titebond is not very good. I tried it a few years back and 3 guitars needed to be rebound as the bond failed.

Pantheon does hundreds and hundreds this way and I've never seen a
single one fail. You must have done something wrong. Lots of time
people try to do too big of a section at once, and the acetone dries out
some. Sometimes not enough acetone is used. Bottom line is if the
binding is sticky, and the glue is fresh, with a good mating surface the
binding will hold firm with titebond indefinitely. John Mayes38654.9567824074

I use CA. It holds on real tight while bending the binding / purfling together. But the fumes can still burn the eyes if care is not taken.
