When I was first researching for building a guitar (way back when) I went to a violin makers shop. He made his own varnish and his shop always smelled good like I thought a small wood shop should smell. I think he used lavender oil as one of the ingredients along with dragon's blood and various amber's and other tree sap's and oils. It was an ongoing research project for him.

I thought the thread was about "Off-Gassing" and that's pretty dangerous after some good hot mexican food, in fact sometimes I think I might be self elimiating

Now let's get back on topic please

Spanish Cedar!!!

I could sit around all day and smell that stuff. It smells like nothing else to me, just heavenly.
