Chris Whitley died last Sunday of lung cancer. What a shame, he was exactly the singer/songwriter/guitarist that I would be, if I could be. He was 46.

If you've never listened to Chris' music, do yourself a favour and hunt down a copy of "Living With the Law".

Sometimes life just plain sucks, but the soundtrack has it's moments.

That makes me very sad. "Din of ecstasy" is one of my favourite CDs and
features incredible guitar playing, tones and vocals. He was young.

While death is a part of life , the pain you feel reflects the way your soul was touched by them.

Very good singer songwriter. I prefer his cd "dirt floor".

This is sad news. I wore out my tape of "Living with the Law".

If you want to hear a song that to me sounds like an epitaph check out "Made from Dirt" .

He had a unique sound and a genuineness to his songwriting.
