I am in Mexico City for a couple of weeks to testify on behalf of the company I work for in a wrongful death case. I was told to be available to be called from Dec. 7th through Dec 19th. I investigated the engineering details of the accident back the spring for my company is the reason I am involved.

Anyway I have been here since the afternoon of 6th, and so far all I have done is set around in the hotel, our local office or the court house during the day. I got to go out a little last night, what a wonderful city. Great food and great people. If not for having to be available at an hours call for the court, this would be a great vacation. And all at not expense to me, plus I am getting paid. (not buy the Mexico court by the way)

So far I have not spent a bit of time on the stand, and it is beginning to look like I may not be called the 16th, or then maybe not at all. At least the weather is nice

Fantastic Michael! I bet you wish you had your workshop with you. Imagine how much you could get done on that new commission!

Do some looking for builders down there, there are some FABULOUS luthiers in Mexico who do things in the old fashioned way, Kenny hill has a lot of his classicals built in Mexico because it's such a tradition down there...

Have fun, be safe and eat some authentic cooking for me, I would love to be there but I would gain 100 pounds...

Cheers

Be VERRRY careful and be aware of your surroundings when you're out at night...don't travel alone. Check out the museums if you can...lots of great history and culture to absorb.

12-days is a long time to go without playing. The last time I visited Mexico it took a major act of will to avoid adding to my fretted herd.

In fact I'm getting GAS just thinking of it.

My CTP does not allow me to play much anymore. I did not take anything with me. Just my laptop so I could connect to our network and get on the net with out paying wifi charges

There is a world of diff. from northern Mexico's food and centrial and southern Mexico's food. both use a lot of peppers, but here more flavorfull peppers and less Scovil rating. more stuffed foods. I went to Spain several years ago and the food here reminds me of that in Westen Spain.
