Yes that's a guitar bouzouki, tuned GDAD. Fantastic fun. Josh and Jason also make these and you can see them on this thread:

Ron that's my little travel guitar with Sycamore (maple) top and Old Rio rosewood b/s. It was designed to be about the same size as a Tacoma Papoose, but tuned normally with lights or mediums rather than the Papoose's A-A. It has a 16 fret body join, 23.8" scale length, 11 1/4" lower bout, 7 1/2" upper bout, 6 1/2" waist and depth of 3 1/4". Overall length is 34" and it fits beautifully in an 1/8th size cello gig bag.

Ron...I read your post to my kids (all teens) about the Ivory and My children told me they tried to put some Walrus ivory in my stocking but the walrus kept on climbing out...
