Not completely decided, yet. That's why I'm eager to see your video. The neck will be tru-oil and I have sealed the whole body with shellac. Not decided what to put over that yet.

Glad to hear you like it Doug. If you are assembling the neck now you have already come a long way. Keep up the good work!

Robbie- I have already ordered. Do you "re-cover" epoxy fill? I think I am going to try it on the walnut I have in the works. I accidentally got enthusiatic about it when I was building a router table for a pal and was gluing in some T tracks. I just kind of squeegeed out some squeezeout(how is that for alliteration?)and got this nicely filled and smooth area. When I put some polyurethane over it to seal I had this nice little patch of gloss with nary an unfilled pore. Of course, I won't be using polyurethane on my guitar.

Thanks for ordering Mike! I cover epoxy, shellac and sawdust and water based pore fillers in my new finishing DVD. All of them have their pros and cons. The expoy method is very effective but it takes two or three days to do. The other two methods are quicker and can be just as effective depending on the type of finish you will top coat with.
