I thought I'd post this listing I found on ebay for you folks who have been talking about building a drum/thickness sander.
Performax 22-44 kit
These units retail for about $379 and are designed to be attached to a radial arm saw. However, I'm sure it could be adapted to be used otherwise. Just thought someone might at least be interested in the drum alone.

I just met a luthier last week that had one of those. He said it was ok but the arm flexed a little. He felt his old home built one was more accruate.
