I am starting a new thread cause the other one is taking up too much space for all the good building topics taht are coming up.

I ordered the blades this morning with the following specs (slightly modified after some last minute soul searching!):

6" dia, 5/8 arbor, .0245 kerf (+/- .0005 means the kerf will be between .024 and .025) and 110 per inch.

Again, total cost including shipping:

Canada $42.50 USD
USA $43.50 USD
Aus $46.25 USD

Delivery will be 6 to 8 weeks to me and once I have them they will be out the door! I have been printing up delivery labels as I receive payment for the blades. I will be sending them sandwiched in cardboard.

Here is the list of OL'ers who have expressed interest, a *'P'* following your id means that I have your payment. I will update this thread as things go along.

You need two Mike, one for each side. The stiffer you keep this very thin blade the more accurate it will be.

Check out Lee Valley, they are about $18 USD.

I tried a similiar blade on a saw that was poorly set up and and had runout, that added about .002 to the kerf which is enough to make things too loose for a good fret wire fit.

Hopes this helps

Shane

What's the price of the blade finally? Is $18 for one or two stiffeners?

Laurent, I don't think Shane is selling the stiffeners, just the blade.
