Michael:
I am doing the tuner & pick up installation as well as setup and fretting if I remember correctly. I "assume" I will be the last person to have the guitar so I can install the lable for you.
That is fine by me I guess but I do need the photos before I can final print the label as the intention was that a photo of the guitar was to be the background image. So when complete get good photos emailded to me and I will finish the label and mail a couple copies to you in case you have installation problems through the sound hole.

Tim and Michael, that seems easiest sending a pic, then mailing the label.

JJ, let us know what Cedar Creek Cases is saying.

Great job everyone.

How's about the rest of you? I bet we could use two volunteers to pay shipping. Kinnaird to Stark, then Stark to McKnight. We'll just make note of it and let you know when it's needed.

I would love to see a couple pics of this guitar at it's current stage as it's been a while since it left my shop.John How38749.4871759259

If Addam is shipping me the guitar for set up, who has the bridge, saddle, nut and pins? I will need to attach the bridge too, I assume?

no one's mentioned pins yet to my knowledge. The bridge is with the fingerboard and headplate. No one has offered saddle or nut either, incidentals, but necessities for sure. How about strings?

I supplied the fb and headplate, which I imagine are the ones on the neck? I offered to make the bridge too, and I am still happy to do that as I roughed one out back then (anyone want to discuss why bridges are shaped the way they are <- JOKE! ).

Way back when, I explained that I don't set the final thickness of my bridges until the neck is installed for good, so I am a little reluctant to do that unless someone has a spec for that.

So as of right now, I have and can send off a bridge cut to shape and wings profiled, and it will need to be taken to final thickness, then drilled for pins and slotted for a saddle. Otherwise I can take it the rest of the way in a few weeks as I have to make a batch anyway. Tim, your call.

I will also supply a bone saddle. If I slot the bridge, it will be 1/8". Tim if you slot, I can supply you with either 1/8" or 3/32", again your call.

Bob

CASE UPDATE...

I hadn't received a reply from my email so I called Cedar Creek Cases. I spoke with Dennis Reamy. He acknowledged that they are indeed donating the case. They were looking at their records for John's specs. Once they retrieve the info they'll give me a delivery date.

In the meantime, since nobody had any comments, I made an executive decision. The case will be:
...Tweed with vintage white stiching
...Red velvet interior
...Gold-plated hardware

I still need a name and address as to where the case needs to be sent. Sounds like Tim McKnight might be the place but let me know soon so I can document and email the official order for Dennis and start the clock running. Thanks.JJ Donohue38750.6186342593

Thanks for the address, John K. As soon as I know about the timing, I'll let you know when you can expect to receive the case. Let's hope that they can reduce the 8 week lead time!

Lance, you may have seen such a case at Bryan's. And yes, you shouldn't be snooping around this thread

Craig

Expect it in a week or so. I don't need to put finish on it so that helps speed things along.

By the way Craig. I had an ephiphany cutting pearl, or at least it concerned cutting pearl. I got a set of really thin fine tooth saw blades and had such a good time cutting pearl I was inspired to do a Celtic know. Much fun

John
