This just in from the He-man Womun Hatres Clubb.

I`m still making progress on this thing! The top is Sitka that I got on Ebay some time back. The rosette is pretty simple with walnut/maple rings.
BTW, I remedied the situation with my oversized head and tailblocks. Surprising what you can do with a 16" McCulloch. Actually, I did have to get a little barbaric, but managed to remove quite a bit of the headblock and half of the tailblock without damaging anything or myself. I`ll post pics when I have a boat to show.

Looks al good to go Coe, be careful with that MCculloch though, wouldn't want you to end up in a " YESTERDAY WAS A BAD DAY " thread!

Nice rosette BTW

Nah, made it through using only hand tools. Minimal amount of blood lost, no Band-aids.

I actually use a chainsaw for guitar building, but only in the early stages-like felling a tree, and cutting logs into slabs.

I know Mario uses a lancelot blade on a grinder for shaping the necks of his guitars, i'd love to see a video on that!

Here`s the latest on my OM. Just about ready to button up for good. Back is on and in good shape. Reshaped headblock as much as I thought i had better and lost half of the Butcher board tailblock I had before.
Any advice on how to get a little more sustain on my soundboard? It`s still plenty thick at .125" and I know that will help some, if not alot. Rings pretty good, though. Just not long enough for what I`m expecting.

That's the prettiest litter box my cats have ever seen. They say ship it over and they'll make use of it!

You can count on that! After all this work and time just to get set up, and now seeing results is paying off! It`s been said before, but there can`t be a better place than right here to share and exchange our addictions.
