Hey folks, the OLF SJ Team Build #2 Forum is alive here.

Is there anyone with an OLF SJ mold they could do without for a few weeks? I'm putting the top on this thing, but the rim is travelling to Woolson soon in Wisconsin and he can't do a thing on it without a mold.

So this is an all out plea to anyone who builds the OLF SJ. We need a loaner of the OLF SJ MOLD. Paul is trying to squeak this into his schedule without building a mold too.

Of course, it would be nice if the mold could make the trip to Arkansas too to get the top installed as well. Suggestions or an OLF SJ mold needed, thanks.

How about I have John Hall send you one. We could then auction it off to support the OLF.Don A38762.8071180556

Any way you can make it happen would be wonderful. But we need it quickly. The sides are on the way to me and I've got no mold. Can't do a thing without it. Thanks Paul

Paul, I just emailed John to see if he has one in stock. If so, I'll have it ship it to Bruce and then on to you. I'll post back when I hear from John.

Peter, I think I'll be sending it on to Bruce (I can't remember if he has one). If he doesn't need it, it will come to you from me, if he needs it, it will come to you from him. Thanks in advance! Paul

Pete if you do not want to auction it off that would be you call but i gree that that would be a good idea. Also I got a PM from Doug aka Dgalas, he wants to pick up the shipping has a contribution to the project. Also Paul is right Bruce will need it next then we should be through with it.

Bruce, hang tight bud, The plans are on there way. If it would be of help, I can send you an electronic file and the software to read it on your computer first thing in the morning, but I dought you have a large format printer to print it on, I also could send it in a DXF format and you would be able to get a printing company like Kinko's to print it for you. I have the plan packaged up and ready to priority mail if you prefer. Just let me know if you want the dxf file

Michael, I can't do the bracing on the top until the abalone is in. It's in the mail. Michael Propsom mailed that and some matching purfling for the rosette.

Oh joy, what a plan, it's like this build is on the Olympics Track!

The OLF Community. It's fun to be a friend. This place is like being one banana in the bunch.

Paul, you are correct, I need an OLF SJ mold too, because my two SJ molds are off the 1983 Olson and there are differences. Bruce Dickey38762.948912037

Are all SJ's created equal. Hopefully John's mold will be the same pattern that Lance bent. You got a good heart John Hall.John How38763.4302199074

No not all are the same dim's.. But we are building to the OLF SJ design. John produced all the molds for the design based on the OLF SJ plans and Lance did bend on forms build by John for OLF SJ so all is well

You got a point John. Minor differences can have an effect. I think we'll be okay since, we will be completing the rimset at Woolson's in John's OLFSJMold, which travels on to Arkansas after the back is on. I put the top on using the same mold. We should be fine, right? Famous last wordz..... but we should be fine in this case. Paul will know pretty quickly if anything is up.
