I have lost my Martin template and measurements for my kit's standard peghead and have also purchased some Grover Sta Tite tuners from StewMac. I cannot, for the last half hour of web surfing, find any basic measurements and istallation insructions on the web.

Any help?

Specifically spacing of the tuners and drill sizes and basics for the Grovers. Even a Grover web site might help.

Thanks in advance

Larry

Finally found the Grover site but still need tuner spacing if possible?

I'm not in my shop at the moment but it seems to me that the holes were space at 1 3/8" and 1/2" in from the edge. You may want to get a second opinion though because this is from memory.

John's measurements sound right. Martin offsets the A and B tuners
toward the center of the peghead (maybe 1/16) so that the A and B
strings do not touch the E strings posts.

For a standard Martin-esque headstock I usually put them 1/2" in and 1 1/2" apart. But depending on the taper of your headstock you should trace it and draw it out first so you don't end up with a problem later.

I'm with Brock on this one!
1 1/2" apart and 1/2" from the edges!

I would be more concerned with the distance from the edges so the tuners fit right....the distance beteween them doesn't really matter as long as you keep them the same between all of them!

Sorry to rehash this but the spacing recommendations seem no where near the peghead I have or the pic below. The spacing at 1 1/2" leaves a LOT of room at the top and bottom of the peghead and it looks like the pic is closer to 1 3/4" - 2" apart.

Also the 2 E strings are closer to the edge than the other 4. It even looks like all 3 tuners have their unique spacing from the edge.

I can't find my Martin template, nor a template or measurements on line, just sold my Martin dread, and can't start drilling without some more info.

Does anyone have a Martin standard peghead or maybe a bit more info on actual measurements before I make a large mistake?

Thanks

Larry

Found my template. Hope this might help someone else.
