Hesh, you are more deserving than you think! i'm gonna call Mike Holmes from the Canadian TV show " Holmes on homes" and have him tear up your work space and build you a twice the size shop before you could even say "cookie crumbles"! he might even buy you a brand new drum sander
Rich did you get the instruction book with your saw?
Yes Hesh, I sure did. Made a point of it. Although, it seemed like the previoius owner was a little reluctant to give it to me. For whatever reason, I have no idea. I too, followed it to a tee, since this is my first experience w/ bandsaws.

The weekend, when I went to pick it up was like out of a Stephen King book. It was during those helacious rainstorms that Northern Calif was getting. All the surrounding rivers were on the rise, and I got lost for a couple of hours (darned Mapquest ). His place was in the middle of nowhere, somewhere up in the wine country. There were trees down, and branches & mud were everywhere. After finally finding his shop (very cool shop), we had to load it into my Pathfinder in the worst part of the storm (it just barely fit), and the poor guy was partially crippled...Sigh! In all the excitement, I had left all the accessories there, and he later had to mail them to me. All in all, for $450, I think I made out OK. It's mine now, and all is good!

Congrats on yours...

for me I was using an olson 3/8 inch 3 or 4 tpi resaw blade and it did not give good results, very wavey finish. I went to woodslicers 1/2 " and it is great. I was told that the saw is too small for a 1/2 inch blade, they would break, but it hasn't happened yet. And Jet does recommend up to 1/2 inch, sooo   Oh, I have heard too that the woodslicer will dull quickly, not sure about that..There is a company that sells the exact blade for half the price,, I'll find their name...
