Great job, Sylvan. Thanks for going to the effort. I'm getting ready to flatten the rim above the soundhole and was wondering how to jig up for it. You used a stick and the flat back of your radius dish. Now why didn't I think of that? How much to you sand off at the neck block - I'm thinking that I need a little less that 1/16th" ??
Thanks.

I don't worry about how much to sand off the block. Rather I mark the guitar
outline with chalk to where the soundhole begins. Then I use the 3/8" stick
and sand the upper bout (front of soundhole to the end of the front block)
until the chalk marks are gone. Then I know it is right. But I do not know
how much I took! I hope this helps.

Thanks for the additional info, Sylvan. I'll let you know how it turns out. I wasn't happy with the way I did it on my first two and so I wanted to try another method.
