Help! I was emailing Tim McKnight about the FOLK guitar project and the send locked up and Microsoft Alerts about sending errors and stuff popped up. I lost the email entirely. But what worried me more was this:

DrWatson's Postmortem Debugger has encountered an Error and Needs to Close. What the heck is that and should I be worried?

I shut it down, sent two error reports it requested, which normally I do not do. I fired up the program again and Outlook Express sent it fine. So, what's up, anyone have a clue?

I've never installed it to my knowledge, but it's a legit program then?

Must be a part of Norton's now or something. Thanks, I feel a little better. Whew!

Every now and then I get a creepy feeling someone is watching me.....

I think the guts of Dr. Watson are still used in XP, although I'm not sure it runs overtly as in earlier versions of Windows. When you send an error report to MS, it essentially is a dump of memory locations, running processes and programs, and other information concerning the state of the system when the error occurred. Just like Dr. Watson in older versions.

Not to worry Bruce, as long as it doesn't keep happening.

Thanks fellows, well, I'm outta here, gotta send some Claro Walnut to a dude in NJ and drop the dog off to the groomer. Then I think I'll have me a plate of breakfast and take the rest of the day off. NOT. I have a OLF TWO to build. It's pouring down rain and tornado warnings in the state. Great in the shop though, halleleujah!

Dr Watson is an OEM System analyst and repair tool provided with some manufactures OEM Windows Operating systems. It has been in-use since W98 I think Dell and Gateway use it or used it in the past. I have a MacAfee suite and uninstall Dr Watson many moons ago.MichaelP38785.4318981481
