Thanks Larry and Mario,

Larry, i can't wait to hear your story!

Mario, i kind of realize what kind of image people might have of me after reading this but to make things a bit clearer, yes, i'm a sensible person but i ain't fragile. As said above, i know it's only a minor thing that prepares me for worst things to come and i'm willing to pay the price of learning. That is why i built my first out of plywood, knowing that the guy i am would rush like a fool and knew i wasn't skilled enough to approach what you had shown me in your shop.

That being said, i'm gonna put that stupid pride aside, get back to my baby steps and brace for the next bonehead move!

Anyway, Serge, you're still our friend. We all try to help each other through the good and bad times. Whenever you have a bad moment, you know that the OLF crew will understand. Your're a joy to know.

Ron

How can i not be touched when a minor thing happens to me and friends rush in for immediate support! What will it be when i get to the hospital?

After my last post, i have been giving some thought about the whole lil incident and self introspection by the same way . The part that makes me sensible is when people are so generous with me, it feels like an overdose of love and i always feel i owe big time afterwards. My wife reproaches me this. She says that i give so much that i have to learn to receive.

That thought alone made me accept Mike's offer right away but knew i could possibly insult him if i offered to pay for his jig so i managed to offer to pay at least for shipping but he refused. I also thought simultaneously that it would strengthen our bond as guitarmaker brothers.

I'm also aware that words have a lot of power when expressing feelings, maybe i sounded like i was on the edge of depression but it was not the case, only my pride was hurt last night, not my self esteem. I was feeling better right after my first post on this thread cuz it felt good just to ventilate and knew you guys would react like big bros. So if i made it sound that way, please forgive my different way of expressing myself, i do appreciate the solidarity here and i hope i never get on anybody's nerves for showing up so much emotions !

Thanks to all

Sorry Serge I missed your question. I don't recall your post about when you lived in Sudbury...sorry missed that one.

You'll chuckle at this I grew up in Sudbury as did Tony Karol.

BTW: Just so we are clear -- I didn't lose it with my gaff last week, mind you I didn't sleep well that night. Next morning I called Tony Karol seeking input as to how to fix the problem ... then on the phone and email with the Zootman for new maple for a neck blank.

[QUOTE=Bruce Dickey] Shane, wasn't it you that taught me how to take 1/8 th" aluminum plate to my Delta 14" bandsaw. I've been using it ever since for jigs of this nature.

Do you have a pic of that to show Serge? It opens a whole new vista in jig-building for the small shop.

Serge, maybe the accident was a blessing in disguise! Here is the last Jig I made with aluminum plate:

Start a new thread about this.... tell us more....

I am intrigued.

Yes Anthony, Tony told me to talk to you about Sudbury in the"First guitar thread", started by Hesh where he described a horror scene from a tavern on Elgin street! Yep, sometimes, there's no way to avoid restarting it from scratch!

I'll second Brock for the new thread on this Bruce, was getting late last night and forgot to ask you if you use this set up for thicknessing tops, backs and sides, if you are, i might sell my drum sander!
