Is there anyone on the forum that sells a set of plexiglass or wood templates for a tenon neck joint? I found the ones at stew mac but was just wondering if anyone else had them?

Me too, 1/2 or 3/4" plywood works great. And that way you can make your own size or shape. Remember you will need to angle the cut to match the neck angle at the body.

It's the angle part that makes me want to buy a template rather than build one. It will probably end up costing me more in time and money with trial and error vs. picking one up that somebody else has already perfected.

It's not the template that puts the angle on the neck, it's the jig that the template goes on that makes the angle on it. Plans are available on the forum here for Paul Woolson's version of the jig, but if you don't want to build it yourself, I build and sell the jig with the tenon template. I don't sell the mortise template because it is just a 3/4" rout, but can do so.
