John,

That's a fabulous piece of wood for the back (once I'd figured out it was the second picture ). I really love small guitars and wood with character - and that has tons! English to boot.

By the way, how far can you hammer a six inch nail into your wood set? . . . on second thoughts

Hi John,
I helped two high school girls make a ukulele out of oak for a physics project and it ended up sounding quite nice. Your back looks great. With your skills I bet it will sound great too.
